An Post Fanách is a handyman project that was borne out of an older people forum at which our older community members pointed out the difficulties that they face in getting basic jobs around the home caried out. They were concerned on two fronts cost, and security. The purpose of the handyman is to carry out these small household jobs while at the same time not charging professional call out fees or rates.
Minimum fees are charged with older members of our community being prioritised and discounted. Our handyman works part time and is based at Sherrys Field with. Bookings can be made in a number of ways. By phone 07340 303095 or WAC numbers, online booking through our website estarmaghconsortium.org or in person by calling into our offices at 20 Cathedral Road.
The project is also conscious of local tradesmen and does not set out to undercut them in any way. We only take on the small household tasks and outside work like mowing the grass. Jobs required a level of professional expertise , such as electrical or plumbing jobs are not undertaken, neither is large scale jobs such as whole house redecoration or painting catered for.
