CHARITABLE STATUS

The West Armagh Consortium was successful in its application to be included on the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland’s list of charities. Recognising the charitable status of the ‘consortium’ the CCNI has included the consortium on its list of officially register charities. This list can be viewed by visiting the CCNI’s website.

Welcoming the move WAC chairman Stephen Fields said , “Although the registration process was somewhat protracted, it was a worthwhile move as it will prove very beneficial for the ‘consortium’. It is also recognition by the Commission of the role and work carried out by the ‘consortium’ and its team of community volunteers.”
