Some of those who took part in the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training in Sherry Field on Saturday 5th March. A total of 13 local people took advantage of the training that was delivered through the Southern Regional College. Congratulations to all who took part and many thanks to Emma, who expertly delivered the training.
Last year the community houses were presented with defibrillators. Local community reps were trained in their use and last Saturday’s training was designed to widen the poll of people trained in the use of this simple but life saving device. We would remind community groups that there are recognised procedures for the storage, use and maintenance of the defibrillators.
