Two charities benefited from the West Armagh Community Festival's fun raising venture that saw a number of hardy community activists climb Slieve Donard to hold a poc fada.£3,173.58 was raised and was divided evenly betwen the Lord Mayors Charity Fund and Lisanally Special School. Stephen Fields from West Armagh Consortium presented one of the cheques to the Lord Mayor Cllr, Mealla Campbell while John Fields presented  the other cheque for Lisanally Special School to Eileen McCann.

The WACF committee were delighted with the amount of £3173.58p raised during the West Armagh Community Festival's Slieve Donard Poc Fada. Each of the charities recieved £1586.79p. John Fields speaking on behalf to the group said, "We would like to thank everyone who sponsored us and the businesses that supported us including Conor Clarke of Clarkes Fitness, Cathy Rafferty from Cuchulainn Bar, Sean McGirr of Enable Care Services and Gerry Davison of Armagh Business Services. Well done to all involved.
